Rovers produced some good form in preseason, losing only one of their seven fixtures and scoring nineteen goals in the process. The final game being a solid 4-1 victory over Corsham Town on Saturday. Confidence should therefore be high for the first full game of the season!

Craig Loxton and John Durbin's Rovers team has a new look this season. In addition to last season's players that have re-signed we have already announced goalkeeper Sam Jepson, striker Kye Simpson and midfielders Fin Haines and Kitan Jaiyeoba. We hope to bring your more player announcement news over the coming days.

Thatcham Town are the visitors on Saturday for this FA Cup Extra prelim round. Thatcham is situated near Newbury and around fifteen miles from Reading. 'The Kingfishers' play in the South Central Division of the Isthmian Football League finishing thirteenth last season. Manager, Yashwa Romeo (a former player at Thatcham) has also added a number of new players for this season.

The FA Cup dream begins now and the Rovers' faithful will be hoping that the team can have another good run and maybe, just maybe, get to that hallowed land of the early televised stages again!
