Paulton Rovers return to league action this Saturday when they welcome Hampshire outfit AFC Totton to Winterfield Road.
For Rovers it is an opportunity to get back to winning ways in the league and build on their Somerset Cup victory on Tuesday against Odd Down. A game in which manager John Rendall was delighted with the continued support of Paulton's loyal fan base
"I was so pleased to see the PR support on Tuesday, we have a nucleus of fan base that we need to keep on board as these guys are key too. I was so grateful to all that come over in the Baltic conditions to support the team"
Whilst for the visiting Stags, currently lying 8th, will have their eyes fixed on a top 6 position in what promises to be a dramatic run-in with only 6 points separating 9 teams between 3rd (Bristol Manor Farm) and 11th (Cirencester). The visitors are coming off a shock defeat to Wessex League Div. 1 side AFC Stoneham in the cup on Tuesday night.
Rovers report no new fresh injury concerns from as Josh Cann has overcome his ligament damage whilst Dale Evans who was missing on Tuesday hopes to recover in time for tomorrow.
The reverse fixture of this tie came as recent as Janaury when Paulton produced one of their finest performances of the season beating Totton 3-0, the catalyst to victory being an excellent Andy Hannah penalty save and finished off with "goal of the season" contender Dale Evans' ridiculous pile driver into the top corner!
It promises to be an exciting game in the Winter sunshine and perfect preparation for the evening's Pig Racing so "trotter" on down for a great afternoon and evening at the Club!
