Buckland Athletic will be the opponents for the first of three home 'Christmas Cracker' games when they visit The Winterfield Stadium on Saturday!

Buckland sit two places and four points above ourselves in the table. Many will remember the 7-0 drubbing they gave us earlier in the season although the result doesn't really tell the whole story. At that time, Buckland were in a good run of form but have more recently slipped winning one, drawing one and three of their last five league matches. The most recent result was a 3-2 home defeat to Oldland Abbotonians who we will face on Boxing Day.

With three victories and two draws in our previous five matches we can take a huge amount of confidence into this game. Last time out we took a 2-2 draw away from high flyers Barnstaple in a game that saw us go down to ten men in the first half followed by a real gutsy performance to take that point and even be mere seconds away from victory. At the very least, there will be a huge incentive to reverse the scoreline of that drubbing!
