On Saturday, another quirk of the fixtures means we have our second match with Wellington FC this season having also played Shepton Mallet and Street twice before we have played other teams once.
Wellington currently sit in 15th place in the table, two places behind ourselves, on 12 points. Of their last five (completed) league matches, they have lost three and won two. The last match was a 4-0 defeat to Brixham on Wednesday evening.
Our previous meeting at The Winterfield Stadium resulted in a 4-2 victory after first half goals from Jack Farion and Kye Simpson were followed by goals from Dan McBeam and a second for Simpson.
Having been struggling to put away chances in previous games, Tuesday's Les Phillips Cup match with Keynsham Town saw us score eight and create many more chances too. The game should be a great momentum builder going into this weekend's fixture and Ray Johnston will be hoping to keep the standard of finishing high!
We'd would love to see you there to get behind the lads!
