After our defeat to Gloucester City in the FA Cup last Saturday, we return to league matters for this weekend when we face Bridgwater Utd at The Winterfield Stadium.

Our visitors had a strong start to the season in winning their opening three games before a defeat to Nailsea & Tickenham stopped the run. Since then they have drawn with Brixham and lost to Portishead Town but a narrow win over Wellington has seen them return to winning ways. They currently sit two places above Rovers in 7th place in the table with one point more having played an extra game. Just a week ago they announced the departure of their management team which makes predicting team line-ups and tactics somewhat difficult!

As previously mentioned, we come off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Gloucester City in the FA Cup. Whilst it was clear that the team two divisions higher looked the more likely to win the game, Rovers frustrated the hosts for large parts of the game and were even unlucky not to get a goal towards the end as they pushed forward creating a number of chances.
