After the excitement of the victory over Bashley in the FA Cup last Saturday, we return to league matters and welcome Barnstaple Town to The Winterfield Stadium.

Barnstaple, much like ourselves, have had a mixed start to the league campaign with a win and a loss in the first two games. A 2 - 0 loss to Clevedon Town on the opening day was followed by a 1 - 0 victory at Ivybridge. This was followed with a win over Helston Athletic in the FA Cup after the game originally went to a replay. Last season, they finished in 5th place in the league proving to be one of the stronger sides.

We go into this game off the back of the morale boosting win over Bashley in the FA Cup. The first half showed our attacking capabilities whilst the second showed our defensive strength when put under some pressure towards the end of the game. Despite Bashley having had an improved share of the possession in the second half, Dan Jackson wasn't overly busy between the sticks!
