After two away trips, it back to The Winterfield Stadium for the first of two home games. On Saturday, it's a local derby against Larkhall before Malvern visit on Tuesday evening in a rearranged fixture.

Larkhall have generally been one of the teams pushing for promotion in the last few seasons, but this time they have been a little inconsistent. Never performing poorly but maybe not to their full potential either. That is until their last six games where they have seen four victories and a draw put them fourth in the form guide and up to sixth in the table and on the edge of the playoff positions. Their previous two games saw victories over Bashley and Mousehole. There is no doubt they will be looking to push on even higher up the table!

Saturday's defeat at Wimborne was our third defeat on the bounce but again exhibited some promise despite a squad short of players. The first half performance in particular showed a cutting edge not seen in other games and with a little more luck we could have gone in ahead at the break rather than level.

The manager took time from his preparations to tell me: "We face another side in the top six and favourites for the playoffs. The fixtures haven't been kind to us recently, bar Bashley, facing teams in top eight since I joined. Saturday was a great performance with the bare bones at Wimborne who are joint top and I was proud of the lads efforts but unfortunately that isn’t enough with few games to go. We hopefully have one or two more players available this for this weekend and Malvern on Tuesday."
