Saturday afternoon sees Bemerton Heath Harlequins make their first visit to The Winterfield Stadium!

'The Bemmy' have had a strong first ever season in the Southern League Division One having stayed in the top half of the season since match day one and falling no lower than 9th place. Their previous six games have shown some mixed fortunes though albeit against teams in and around themselves in the table. The results show two wins, three losses and a draw with their most recent result being a 2-1 victory over Larkhall. They now sit sixth in the league table on 40 points just outside the play-off spots.

Tuesday evening's scoreless draw at Evesham earnt our fist point since January 6th (versus Mousehall) and halted the rather disastrous run we had been on since then. The boss has made a number of signings in the last two weeks, including the return of Leighton Thomas who many will remember was the league's top scorer two seasons ago. There were plenty of good signs in that Evesham game with all the new faces fitting in well to produce a battling performance for a deserved point.

0-0 was also the result when we travelled to Bemerton Heath early in the season and with both teams looking to secure points for very different reasons, this is sure to be a cracking game. We've had great support all season and we'd love to see even more faces on Saturday to cheer us on in these final few games! With Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Bath City and Yeovil all playing away, this would be a great time to to get behind your local team!
