Our busy Christmas schedule continues on Boxing Day when Yate Town visit The Winterfield Stadium.

Many supporters had picked out this game at the start of the season as a big one for Rovers. This was due to Yate Town, at that time, being managed by John Rendell whom had left Rovers to join Yate taking a number of players with him. However, he has since left the club but the game remains huge for different reasons. Much like Rovers, Yate have struggled this season and find themselves sat one place and one point behind us in the table so much like last week's Exmouth tie, this is a real six-pointer! Their previous five fixtures have included three losses and two draws, the latest of which was a 0-0 draw with Bashley on Saturday.

Their squad will have some familiar names to long-term Rovers supporters and we welcome back Aaron Sainsbury, Dan Dempsey, James Byrne and Chris Peck alongside assistant manager Paul Tovey and kit man James Hicks!

Our thumping at the hands of Melksham Town on Saturday will need to be forgotten quickly. David O'Hare returns from his suspension to retake his place in the squad.
