On Saturday, we make the journey to Melksham Town for another tough Southern League Division One fixture.
Our hosts currently have four points more than Rovers and sit in 14th spot in the table. They have had a somewhat topsy turvy season so far. A strong start has given way to some indifferent results in the last few weeks and has seen them slide down the table somewhat. Their previous four fixtures have resulted in draws with the latest against Bristol Manor Farm. However, only one game (against Willand) was scoreless so the goals have still been flowing for them!
Our crucial last minute win over Exmouth Town on Saturday should go a long way to boost the confidence in the squad. It was a game that, although not pretty, saw a number of encouraging signs. The new signings seemed to settle into place quickly which brought some stability defensively and the return of Dan Cottle brought some added invention going forward.
Jack Dancey and Wayne Nderemani are the only players out with injuries at the moment so we go into this game with the same squad as last week.
We'd love to have your support for again for this tough fixture!
