We begin our FA Cup campaign on Saturday when Southern League Division One South outfit, Bashley FC, visit The Winterfield Stadium.

We don't need to cast our minds back too far for the last time we played Bashley. That was a narrow 2-1 defeat in what was Richard Fey's first game in charge in The Southern League Division One. Last season, Bashley had an unusually poor start to the season before finding form and pulling away sharply from the foot of the table. Since that time, they have made a number of new signings so it remains to be seen what their line-up will be for this game.

For ourselves, we have had a mixed start to the season. A great game against Nailsea & Tickenham was followed by defeat at Street and being second best for most of that game. However, the dominant first half against Nailsea & Tickenham, with plenty of chances created, showed exactly what this new line-up is capable of!
