A good number of Rovers' supporters were in attendance at Odd Down AFC in Bath to witness Ray Johnston's new look team begin their pre-season schedule. The squad featured all the previously announced retained players bar Martin Lenihan who will hopefully be back to full fitness as soon as possible!

All the goals came in the first half where the team showed little signs of rustiness. There were some good individual performances but the team also looked very together, working hard in unison. The passing was crisp and longer balls were picking out team mates. All the goals came from good moves with Odd Down only creating some half chances in return.

Maybe naturally, after a number of changes by both teams, the second half was a little flatter although Rovers managed to take the lion's share of possession and chances created.

All in all, a good opening workout for the lads that gave the boss plenty of encouraging signs to go forward with.

Next up we travel to Longwell Green on Saturday 13th July with a 1.30pm kick-off.
